SULLIVAN COUNTY, Tennessee (WJHL) – The Sullivan County Regional Department of Health is making some changes to its COVID-19 services.

According to the SCRHD social media posts, the Pfizer booster vaccine will be available in Blountville and Kingsport health departments starting Monday, September 27.

Those who have completed the initial series of vaccinations will be eligible for the booster after six months. The booster is currently only available to people who are older or have underlying health conditions.

Check out the HRSDC Facebook post below for a full list of eligibility factors.

Another article posted on social media by the SCRHD indicates that in addition to offering the Pfizer booster vaccine, the SCRHD will no longer offer drive-thru testing at the Blountville site as of Monday, September 27. Take-out tests will be available at both locations while supplies last, just call upon arrival and a kit will be brought to you.
