5 reasons why you can’t poop



Well, it could be one of the following reasons;

1. You are not drinking enough water

You are more likely to feel constipated and unable to pass waste if you don’t drink enough water.

Coffee and alcohol don’t count. You should drink plenty of water especially if your food is full of fiber.

2. Certain drugs

Strong pain relievers like opioids and narcotics taken regularly can cause constipation and make it difficult for poop to pass out.

Antacids also cause constipation because they contain aluminum and calcium. Antidepressants and iron deficiency supplements also cause constipation.

If you are taking any of these medications and notice that you have a problem with pooping, you may need to discuss it with your doctor.

3. Thyroid or hormonal problems

If your thyroid is functioning properly, you shouldn’t have any problems using the toilet to poop.

However, if your thyroid gland is underactive and not releasing the hormones your body needs, especially the digestive system, then pooping will be difficult. This will weaken your gut, slow digestion, and cause constipation.

4. Stress

If you are going through extremely difficult and stressful situations and not getting as much rest as you should, pooping won’t be easy. Stress or lack of sleep can cause your enteric nervous system to slow down and cause irregular bowel movements.

5. Chronic health problems

Irritable Bowel Syndrome is a digestive disorder that is accompanied by either pain from diarrhea or constipation.

You might also have nerve problems in your rectum or colon, which makes it difficult to pass feces. Diseases like multiple sclerosis and Parkinson’s disease cause trouble with bowel movements.

Finally, if you can’t pass out, eat fiber like apples, beans, and oranges, and drink plenty of water.
